The Røros Museum: Olavsgruva (Olav’s Mine)

Join an exciting hour long guided tour of Røros' mining history!
The mine remains at a constant temperature of around 5 degrees celcius throughout the year and the air is humid. Wear warm clothes and good footwear!

The tour starts in the museum, where we look at the “Mining in the Round” exhibition. The tour ends in a massive chamber called Bergmann’s Hall, which is often used for concerts and other cultural events.
Guide tours 4 times a day in the summer season offerd in English and Norwegian
The guided tour lasts just over an hour.
